I just finished this wall hanging yesterday. The wreath motif came from a Christmas Tree Skirt I found in an old book. It took a while to make templates and cut out all the pieces, but I like the way it turned out. I machine appliqued the wreath and embroidered the words. My youngest son, Ryan, asked me to mend his jeans for him. They are one of his favorites - the other one is just like this one! He actually told me how he wanted me to do it. At first, I thought he wanted me to cut out fabric and sew it on top of the rip (or I could use one of those patches that we glue on the pants). Whew! It is hard to believe it is Thursday already! I don't know about your week, but mine has been crazy... ... canning pears... ... hand quilting with the guild... ... teaching machine quilting class... ... running errands... One thirty in the morning and I cannot fall back asleep. Two weeks into this diet, and I sort of miss being able to eat bread and butter whenever I am hungry. Christmas time has been on my mind. I need to take inventory of the gifts I have already made, and who they go to. This year I should add my name to the list! Last year (I think it was last year!)
