Scrappy Nine Patches Quilt
Do you remember earlier this year when I reviewed the book "Sew Charming - Scrappy Quilts from 5" Squares" by Mary Etherington and Connie Tesene? I immediately quadrupled one of the patterns to make a quilt for my bed. I finally added a narrow, pieced border, and an appliqued border... ... and sent it to Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting so she could work her magic for me. It is so happy and perfect for the warmer temperature. It is huge: 94" x 101". It took me a few hours to hand bind … [Read more...] about Scrappy Nine Patches Quilt
Quilt for the Beach
Photograph by Matthew Owen for Annie's Publishing. Used with permission. Here is "Lounging at the Beach", my latest pattern published in the Quilter's World Summer 2017 edition by Annie's Publishing. Apparently, the … [Read more...] about Birds of Spring

Scrappy Nine Patches
This beauty will be the newest quilt for my bed! This is only the quilt center as I am still thinking about what the borders will look like. It will be replacing the warm and cozy flannel quilt come Spring. I have been waiting for a week and no sunny day to photograph it outside... I am loving these colors! They remind me of the backroom in a house my father-in-law used to own in Bethany Beach, DE: everything was decorated in blues, yellows, and white in that welcoming room. When I opened an … [Read more...] about Scrappy Nine Patches
