Butterfly quilt pattern to make in a day.

By Denise Russell

I created a second version of my Nature Lover design, which is a Butterfly quilt pattern to make in a day. Among the many baby quilt patterns out there, this would be fun if made with novelty fabrics. You can also use it as a wall hanging or a table topper. This quilt measures 47” x 47” and the block finishes at 8” so it can be made quickly. Sometimes, we want to make a quilt but we can't spend too much time on it. I guarantee you will spend more time pulling fabrics together than … [Read more...] about Butterfly quilt pattern to make in a day.

Easy quilt patterns for every season.

Easy quilt patterns for every season

I have released a few easy quilt patterns for every season in the past month and haven't had a chance to show them to you. Remember that, even though I may feature a specific fabric collection, you can choose your own fabrics when you make them unless, of course, they require a specific quilt panel. Angels Sing measures 37” x 57” and the border blocks finish at 5”. A Confident Beginner can easily make this project, and it requires the panel from the Oh Come Let Us Adore Him collection by … [Read more...] about Easy quilt patterns for every season.

[This post may contain affiliate links. Please read material disclosure on the bottom of this page.] One of my Valentine's Day decorations this year is featuring a different color scheme. This is Love Dance, the mini quilt that is hanging on my kitchen right now. I used leftover fabrics from my quilt Joyful from the … [Read more...] about Make this Valentine’s angel heart quilt

White daisy quilt is my new bedspread.

By Denise Russell

White daisy quilt is my new bedspread.

I am ahead of the game! "Sassy", the white daisy quilt is my new bedspread and I could not be happier. My husband had to be assured that we would get it back before Spring came around because he could not wait to see it on our bed. "Sassy" measures 76" x 89-1/2" and the blocks finish at 12". I used the Fresh as a Daisy collection by Maywood Studio and love how it turned out. The colors and textures of these fabrics are amazing... The blocks are very easy to make so I am sure that once … [Read more...] about White daisy quilt is my new bedspread.

Fall leaves become an easy panel quilt

By Denise Russell

The snowplows have been working all night to clear the roads of the many inches of snow we got. The sky is still melting into white powdery stuff, but I have other colors on my mind right now because of the fall leaves easy panel quilt pattern I have just released. "State of Mind" is the name of this fall quilt pattern and I am in love! The panel is from the Nature Narratives collection by Hoffman Fabrics, which will be in quilt stores this coming April. It features my favorite season of … [Read more...] about Fall leaves become an easy panel quilt

Owl Panel Quilt made easy using pre-printed fabric

By Denise Russell

Next week I am releasing my owl panel quilt pattern called "Kinship" featuring the Hoffman Fabric's Call of the Wild pre-printed fabric, this one called S4722-126 Birch. I fell in love with this wintry scene and had to design a pattern for it. I have seen many pre-printed panels through the years but it took me a while to begin designing patterns with them. I am careful to add borders that enhance the panel, bring some of its colors to the 'outside', and frame the artwork as a gorgeous … [Read more...] about Owl Panel Quilt made easy using pre-printed fabric
