I designed many patterns for Blank Quilting and Studioe which are ready for you on their site under Free Projects. Today I am showing you these 5 free quilt patterns to download and sew now to keep you busy and happy.
Blank Quilting has released Marisol, a collection that will be in stores in September. I love all the fabrics in that line and designed two fun quilts for it. Quilt 1, above, finishes at 75” x 90” and features 14-1/2″ blocks with all the amazing prints and textures you can find in a garden.
The scrappy look of this design complements any home decor and is sure to bring lots of smiles as a gift. The center of the blocks showcases the beautiful floral fabrics – that is why I chose it for this quilt.
Here is Quilt 2 for the same collection. Fun, modern, and easy to make! The solid fabrics are from their Urban Legend basics line – very versatile and a must-have in our fabric stash . For this quilt, you will use a simple template for the paper-piecing of the diamonds. It finishes at 61-1/2” x 69-1/2” and the blocks are 8-1/2″.
Those flowers!!! This quilt will add just the right pop of color to your home and might be perfect as a present for your college-bound daughter. The geometric lines contrast so well with the shape of the flowers…
If you are in the mood for a sew-by-row quilt, I have just the pattern for you that I designed for Studioe: Wild Wild West Quilt 2 (I also designed Quilt 1 – another free download!) is the quilt for you.
The gorgeous Wild Wild West collection by Art Loft for Studioe has colors and textures that will look equally grand at a cabin, your townhome, or in your farmhouse! The quilt finishes at 72” x 84-1/2” and the blocks measure 10″.
How do you like that border fabric? I am in love…
This is Just Color! Quilt 1 – we all need this burst of color and happiness right now! It measures 48”x 48” and the block measures 8”. The most important thing I have to say about this design – it DOES NOT require paper piecing! If you can sew on a straight line, you can make this quilt!
The fabrics in the Just Color! collection are vibrant, saturated with bold hues, and are the perfect complement to all their other lines. This basic collection appears in one of my projects which I can not yet share, but you will see how much I work with these fabrics very soon.
I have already shown you the quilt above on this post about Free Quilt Patterns but… I like it so much I have to show it again. It is easy to make and the fabrics are fantastic!
Christmas quilts are my favorite because they bring so much cheerfulness and childhood memories to me. I used to prefer traditional fabrics and colors for these projects. However, I have made so many quilts with different fabric lines and colorways that, right now, it is enough that the pattern has Holiday symbols in it to get a top spot on my To-Make list.
I hope you liked the 5 free quilt patterns to download and sew now shown here today. We need to keep busy to weather the current crazy events in our lives. Stay tuned because I have a giveaway coming up next week on the blog. And… the next newsletter will have another gift for you just for being part of my virtual community.
I am in the process of updating the Free Patterns tab of this blog to display all the patterns I have designed that you can download. In the meantime, just enter in the search box at the bottom of this page the words Free Patterns or Free Quilt Patterns and you will find all the posts I have written for them.
Happy sewing!
