Two more blocks finished for my grandson's quilt. I started embroidering them in January 2013, and my grandson turns one next week! Ai, ai, ai... Yep, it is all about Noah's ark, which I am embroidering now. I will add sashing and borders, but it will not be ready by Monday. You can find the other blocks I embroidered here, here, here, here, and here. I only have three more to go. The pre-printed blocks only had the animals so I added grass, water, and other elements to enhance them, unless … [Read more...] about Embroidering blocks for a quilt

Baby Zoo
At last the first of a series of four wall hangings is finished! In the wee hours…
One thirty in the morning and I cannot fall back asleep. Two weeks into this diet, and I sort of miss being able to eat bread and butter whenever I am hungry. Waking up during the night is tricky, as the brain starts engaging in overdrive at the wrong time: prepare for class I am teaching on Thursday (scheduled before I knew my kids would have no school that day, and since everybody I know will be traveling, I have no babysitter!), the upcoming 15-minute talk on Sunday at church which still … [Read more...] about In the wee hours…
