Look at the fun baby quilt I just finished! A friend just had her first baby and I immediately went to gather all the leftovers I had of these gorgeous fabrics from the Splish Splash collection by Gail Cadden for Timeless Treasures to make a project for the little one (Here is the quilt made with the same line). This cool pattern by Amy Hamberlin is very simple - it is your choice of fabrics which makes the design pop. The letters are already reversed and ready to be … [Read more...] about Baby Quilts for Beginners

Churndash and more
I am so excited to announce my newest pattern, In The Woods! Two blocks with carefully planned color placement make up such a cute design! It measures 47" x 63" - a perfect size for a lap, or an oversize baby or toddler quilt. The blocks finish at 8", are easy to put together, and you also have the help of photographs to make the process faster. The downloadable pattern is available for download from my Etsy store Quilterly, and printed versions will follow. This design works great with solids … [Read more...] about Churndash and more
Butterfly Wall Hanging
Quite a while back I reviewed the book Cute Quilts for Kids by Kristin Roylance for Martingale. The fabrics look so good together and their prints add whimsy to the project. Butterflies … [Read more...] about Butterfly Wall Hanging
Vintage Baby

After joining the bow tie blocks I added a narrow white border, then a wider yellow border, still not knowing how it would look like in the end. That is when the idea of the ducks came along. I dug deep (I mean, … [Read more...] about Vintage Baby
Noah’s Ark Baby Quilt
It has been two years in the making, but I finally finished the Noah's Ark quilt for my grandson Nicholas. I am doing the happy dance today! Best of all, I will get to see him holding it as they are on their way to visit us from California. Yes! You have been very patient with me as I slowly embroidered each block... The blocks were pre-stamped for embroidery, made by JDNA in St. Louis, USA. The pattern name is Noah's Ark. I had to wash the quilt as soon as it was completed to ensure all the … [Read more...] about Noah’s Ark Baby Quilt
