Would you like to see how I appliqued these hearts so they look so soft after I quilted them? I just recorded a video for Annie's Craft Store Facebook page showing you very quickly how I did it. Whenever the applique' motif is large (these hearts measure about 6") I use this technique so I do not have a stiff project afterwards. Modern Spools Sew Along – All blocks done!
I am doing the happy dance here! These are the last blocks for the Modern Spool Sew Along! That cup turned out so cute... and I think I need one with hot chocolate to celebrate the finish. Below are all the blocks I made: I will assemble the quilt top as soon as I can and post a picture. I am not sure which spool I will turn sideways but it will be one without applique' for sure. Yes, four more blocks and three blocks to finish the 23 required for the Modern Spools quilt designed by Peta Peace. I am so excited!!! No applique blocks this time by I know exactly which one will be the last. Since I have 3 blocks left I will post them together in two weeks. Welcome back to the Modern Spools Sew Along! I love the prints on these blocks... The fabric line is called Apple Farm by Penny Rose Fabrics.
