All the blocks are ready for Pergola, my newest quilt pattern. It is a square quilt with two easy blocks that finish at 15". I am assembling them today and hope to have them ready for the quilter by the end of the day. The fabrics you see are from Dear Stella Fabrics' Perch line. Yes, you saw it featured on my downloadable quilt pattern called Nature Sweet. I really love the greens and gorgeous prints on this line so I am using it again. This is the fabric for the backing. As soon as the … [Read more...] about Quilt Pattern In the Works
Bella Skill Builder 7
This is month 7 of the Bella Skill Builder Sew Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop. I have a pretty nice pile of blocks which will soon become a cool, colorful quilt. Knit Scarf

Classic Knit Shawls
All photographs by Joe Hancock for F+W Media, Inc. Used with permission. Last week I spent a whole afternoon with my knitting friends, something I haven't done in three years. I missed them so much! One of my friends, Renee', was working on a beautiful shawl and I came home dreaming of making my own someday. Galax Shawl … [Read more...] about Classic Knit Shawls
Wool Applique’ Gifts
I whipped up two coasters the other night as I am taking every opportunity I have to prepare Christmas gifts. I love them! It took me a couple of hours to make them. Most of that time was spent choosing scraps of wool and cutting the shapes. I transferred the shapes onto plastic templates, traced them on the wool with permanent marker, and cut them. Notice the texture of this pink background - it was recycled from a wool sweater! So were the orange, yellow, and purple pieces. I glued the … [Read more...] about Wool Applique’ Gifts
