Easter is just around the corner. As I was wondering what Easter-related project I would do this year, I came across the picture of this bunny I made last year, based on a pattern I purchased at the Handmaiden in Sandy, Utah, across the street from Quilts, Etc. My mother loved it, so it now lives in Brazil with her. I am tempted to make more bunnies for this Easter - perhaps a decoration for the front door or a banner. Fun idea for a gift
I found this giraffe in a Brazilian craft magazine. Again, the instructions were sketchy: 'make the shirt, then the skirt' (how?). But, once I start a project, I will see it to completion one way or another. I had to get porcelain for the horns. Stuffed animals take a while to put together but they make such cool gifts. Cat on quilt
As I watch Jamie, my oldest cat, sleeping and totally oblivious to the sound of my fingers on the keyboard, I imagine if someday I can portray her in one of my art quilts. She is no ordinary cat to me, although she has no particularly distinctive features.
