I have been very busy preparing for the Hidden Valley Country Club Holiday Boutique. It will be held tomorrow, the 15th, from 2 to 8 pm. My sewing machine has been sputtering after all these weeks of work! The Bernina and I will need a few days of vacation, away from each other! Here is another book you might enjoy about fabric folding: Folded Flowers, Fabric Origami with a Twist of Silk Ribbon, by Kumiko Sudo. These flowers from Japan jump out of the pages... Three Dimensional Flowers
Check out this wall hanging I made with 3-D flowers. I took this class in Annapolis, Maryland, and really loved it. The pattern can be found in Rebecca Wat's book Fantastic Fabric Folding. If you enjoy adding 3-D elements to your quilted projects, this is a great book for your library. Her flowers are easy to make, and she provides step-by-step photographs to help with each one. Have you heard of Annie at www.byannie.com? I first met her last year at Quilt Fest in Provo, Utah, when I took two EQ classes with her. She is an excellent teacher: patient, knowledgeable, fun.
