Oohh… I just opened the November/December 2018 issue of Love of Quilting magazine and guess what? My table runner Gifts of the Season is on page 40! How I enjoyed making and quilting it…
Christmas Table Runner
Here it is on my design wall, once all the flowers, leaves, stems, and baskets had been machine appliqued. I love quilts with applique’ and I treasured every minute I spent putting this table runner together. It measures 28″ x 52″ with 8″ blocks.
Those baskets… aren’t the fabrics beautiful? Here I am placing the applique motifs over the baskets before fusing them. The pattern instructions have details on how to work with light-colored shapes over dark fabric so your table runner will look just like mine.
This is my second project this Christmas with the beautiful Poinsettia & Pine fabric collection by Maywood Studio:
The prints are bright and fun, just the way I love my Christmas decoration. This line has lots of textures mixing holly and poinsettia designs with dots, scrolls, and plaids: the traditional with the cozy!
This issue of Love of Quilting has amazing projects for the Holidays and beyond – make sure you get it so you can begin the ones you want to finish and deliver before Christmas.
I can’t wait to have this table runner back. It will be even more difficult to wait until Christmas to display it on my dining room table!
Have a fantastic weekend,
