I finished it! This is Postcard from St. Nick, one of my recent patterns. The photograph was taken indoors because we’ve had 3G kind of weather: gray, gloomy, and gross. But I think you can see how fun it turned out!
I ended up trimming the panel to be smaller than in the pattern, so I edited the instructions to show what to do if you decide to trim away.
Melissa Kelly from Sew Shabby Quilting added this texture – perfect! The colors are really beautiful on the fabrics from the Christmas collection by Hoffman Fabrics. There are two panels – one with Old St. Nick and one with 8 fat quarters:
Traditional Christmas colors and motifs bring back wonderful memories… that is probably why I designed not one but two patterns with this collection (see below). I did not use (yet!) the fat quarter with the stockings.
The Paisley and Pine batiks worked very well with the color scheme so I am happy to have included them.
Memory Maker is my second design and the quilt will be done very soon. I do have three sons – I will need to make two quilts of one of these patterns so everyone will be happy. Both patterns are available in my Etsy store or in a quilt store near you. If your favorite quilt store hasn’t gotten them yet they can contact me.
Postcard from St. Nick is my finish for this Friday. I am joining the linky party at Crazy Mom Quilts and Confessions of a Fabric Addict.
Have a great weekend!

It's enchanting 😀 I prefer the traditional colors for Christmas, specks of blue included. For some reason, I just can't love the modern pistachios, oranges, pinks, etc., for the holiday.
