Yesterday was a very gray day here in Utah but I was cheered up by the arrival of my quilt “Spring in Cape May” from the publisher. Oh… these blues, teals, and yellows made me so happy! Spring in Cape May measures 78″ x 94″ and the blocks finish at 16″. It is a very easy quilt to make and the large blocks are ideal to showcase your favorite fabrics as I did.
Here are some batiks from the Tonga Angelfish line by Timeless Treasures used to make this quilt:
My husband and boys told me I am not allowed to gift or sell this quilt as they all love how it turned out with these batiks. Trust me, this quilt has my name on it.
Melissa from Sew Shabby Quilting did a wonderful job with the quilting, as usual, adding a lot of motion to invoke ocean waves.
You can find this pattern in the Spring 2018 issue of Quilter’s World on page 35. There are many colorful and creative projects in this magazine so you don’t want to miss it.
I hope you like this quilt as much as I do… and that I have inspired you to go make something beautiful today.
See ya!
