“Market Stalls” for Timeless Treasures Fabrics with Tonga Antique Garage.

Let’s begin the week with free downloadable patterns! Timeless Treasures Fabrics released a beautiful line of batiks called Tonga Antique Garage and I designed three patterns for this line, all of which can be downloaded from their site.

The pattern above is Market Stalls – it uses two blocks with a chain design, showcasing many of those gorgeous batiks. The quilt measures 102” x 132” making it ideal for a king size bed. The blocks are 15″ so the project will come together really fast.

I used the Strip Tube Ruler by Cozy Quilt Designs on the instructions to make the half square triangles for these three patterns as this is my favorite method for HSTs! (Not making any money here, just saying…).

“Sundance” for Timeless Treasures Fabrics with Tonga Antique Garage.

Sundance is my second pattern for the Tonga Antique Garage line. The quilt measures 75-1/2″ x 105-1/2″ and the pinwheel chain blocks finish at 15″. This design has a cool look to it and the placement of dark and light batiks adds dimension to the quilt. It looks complex although it is really simple: one large block, pinwheels made quickly, and rich fabrics do the trick!

“Leaves n Pebbles” for Timeless Treasures Fabrics with Tonga Antique Garage.

The third pattern is called Leaves n Pebbles. The quilt measures 73-1/2″ x 93-1/2″ and the blocks finish at 10″. The leaves are machine appliqued and use the same batiks as the blocks. Here again, the fabric placement adds dimension to the design and make the blocks pop from the background.
