Happy June! Today we are working on Block 5 of the Bella Skill Builder sew along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop, improving our sewing skills with each different block. Here are mine:
This time the half square triangles were made using the Triangles on a Roll 3″ Finished Triangle Paper. It was a breeze putting them together:
Cut fabrics and pin papers onto them. Stitch on the dashed lines, cut on the solid lines…
peel away paper, trim, and press open.
You can find video tutorial and pattern at The Jolly Jabber, as well as see how the other participating bloggers made their blocks.
Here are some of the blocks we made so far:
Cool, huh? There is plenty of time to join the sew along, and we only make a few blocks per month. Go to The Jolly Jabber, download the free patterns, and catch up with us. By the end of the year you will have all the blocks needed to make a sampler quilt, and will have learned different techniques to make them.
Have a fun sewing day!
