It has been one month since I announced today’s quilt challenge – Strip-easy. Most of us have tons of fabric strips, leftover from previous projects, stashed in drawers, boxes, bags… This is a great way to use them up: by making projects, big or small, using mostly strips we already have cut. I have been working to create inspirational pieces for all of you who are participating, and hope my projects helped you (see previous posts!).
Today is the great reveal! Let me start by showing my latest ‘strippy’ project:
This table mat was made entirely with strips from a project I made from a friend many years ago. I loved the fabrics and only now figured out what to do with what I had left. It measures 20″ x 12.5″ -it might fit on my serving tray, or will live on the table between the recliners.
The quilting was a lot of fun to do, free motion without marking anything – the best kind for me… I have two other projects which are almost done, so you will have to wait to see them. In the meantime, one creative quilter will win the following prizes:
Now, it is your turn. Linking up to this party is very easy, and I can’t wait to see all your projects!

Denise I love scrappy quilts and accessories. Thanks for hosting this challenge. I had fun making my table runner and using up some scraps too! I will be checking back to see if more links are added to the linky.

I like that table mat. That kind of project is just the right size for practicing my FMQ. Thanks for the strip challenge Denise, I really enjoyed it!

Thanks for hosting the challenge. It has made me use up some of my scraps, but still have a lot to use.
