Here is what I thought would be a quick project. I used Anni Downs panel “My Favorite Things” for Henry Glass.
For some unknown reason, I decided to cut out each part of the panel… Of course, I had to figure out a way to sew the irregular-size blocks back together, but I think it turned out very cute.
I left some blocks out, only keeping “my” favorite things about life. When finished, I will find room for it in my quilt studio.
Anni’s designs are whimsical, heart-warming… I have a few of her patterns and books. She also excels on embroidery.
At left is a close-up view of what I have a taste for just about now…
Anyway, I will find a coordinating blue for the binding, since I only bought 1/2 yard of each fabric. Well, I had many leftovers from the border I added, which I turned into another quilt (will show you on the next post).
I will probably freemotion quilt it, outlining her cool design. What do you think?
