I returned home from Quilt Market in Houston last night, exhausted and energized at the same time. My feet are still recovering from having walked the enormous convention center time and time again as I met with current clients, forged new relationships, and visited with old and new friends. But, I want to post this Free quilt pattern with stitch and flip blocks.
Don’t they make you happy? See the entire collection here. The vibrant colors will also be perfect for other projects such as totes, pillows, and garments such as the blouse above.
I like the coordinating fabrics that Jackie Decker, the designer of the collection, paired with the prints. Black and white will go very well with them, too, as you can see on the blocks and borders of my quilt design.
This Free quilt pattern with stitch and flip blocks will be ready in no time, regardless of your skills. As soon as I can I will post a tutorial for the stitch and flip method. For more free quilt patterns, go to the Free Patterns tab and download the ones you like most.
Ask your quilt store to be sure to order this collection so you can make this cool project. Do not forget to go to the Patterns tab on this blog to see other free patterns you can easily download and begin making.
Passing by the American Jane booth I was struck by the beautiful fabrics and projects, and could not miss the opportunity to photograph Sandy Klop with her cheerful smile.
Sandy’s fabric collections are bright, creative, and inspiring. Her patterns are fun to make with creative assembly techniques and fresh designs.
Amanda‘s booth was fantastic with great quilts featuring her upcoming fabric line Scaredy Cat for Riley Blake Designs. I don’t care what she says – I am positive Mufasa the cat is totally frustrated because he was not pictured on the fabrics!
I follow Amanda on Instagram (@jedicraftgirl) and am crazy about her patterns, her home remodels, and how she can convince Mufasa to let her dress him up and pose for photographs. She has a way with that cat!!!
On Sunday, I stopped Jenny Doan from the Missouri Quilt Company with a shout: “Wait! Time for a photo with a celebrity!” Of course, she indulged me. Jenny has a wildly successful business, a charismatic presence, and a sweet spirit about her…
And that is it. There were so many booths, new collections, new notions… but my focus was on meeting with current clients and drumming up new ones. My meetings were very productive and I am looking forward to an amazing year of recurring and new partnerships.
One last thing: you would be so proud of me – I did not buy a single thing at Market. Say, What??? Nothing! I am hoping to be crowned as the Queen of Self-Control after this trip…
On that note, have a great Monday.
