My Modern Mug Rugs have just been published in the January/February 2018 issue of Modern Patchwork. I made them using Hoffman Fabrics Me+You batiks 2-1/2″ strips so you know they were a breeze to put together!
Aren’t these colors fun? They can be gifted as a set (a housewarming gift) or individually. I have parted with four of them already as they arrived back from the publisher in time to make great Christmas gifts.
I quilted them with straight lines to keep with the modern theme, using Aurifil 40 wt white thread and the walking foot.
Remember Hoffman’s amazing pineapple fabric? It made its way to the back of the mug rugs!
