I got the book Homespun Comfort Afghans published by Leisure Arts for review and could not wait to begin an afghan because all the 7 patterns are so beautiful! I also liked that the projects feature one of my all-time favorite yarns: Lion Brand Homespun. As I turned the pages, the million dollar question was: which one should I make?

I chose the Snuggly Wrap on page 20 and headed to Joann Stores. The Lion Brand yarns were on sale so I did the happy dance and grabbed the number of skeins required in the three colors I needed – the very same colors on the pattern. Yep, I was smiling from ear to ear.
The texture of each strip is awesome. I can already imagine one of my sons snuggling under it. I am almost done with my second strip (had to stop because of the work due before Spring Quilt Market!).
My supplies are in this cute bag which has taken up temporary residence next to my recliner in the family room. When it is time to put my feet up, the yarn sticking out from it beckons and the fun begins. I will post more photos as I make progress.
In the meantime, check out Leisure Arts sales going on right now. I have my eyes on the Bedtime Blankies crochet book…
I hope your Monday is happy!
