Guys, this is month 2 of the Clementine Quilt Along hosted by Fat Quarter Shop! Last month’s Watermelon Wheel Block was such a hit!
I am loving the fabrics from Mama’s Cottage by April Rosenthal for Moda Fabrics – if you like them too, get the quilt kit and the matching backing set also as I did.
Here are my two blocks for this month which are called Broken Berries (available for download today – February 25th). The instructions are very clear and easy to follow. I really liked the way we made the flying geese and plan on using those steps the next time I need to make them.
This is the 12″ block…
… and its identical twin in a 20″ version. You can make the whole quilt or purchase the patterns for the blocks you like as they are released. Fat Quarter Shop and Moda Fabrics are benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital with this year’s quilt along. They are asking for a small donation in exchange for downloading each month’s pattern, and Fat Quarter Shop and Moda will match up to $20,000 of our donation. Join us!
You can find the full fabric requirements and all the patterns and videos posted so far on Fat Quarter Shop’s blog Clementine Quilt Along page.
Toby can’t sew with me but he is here while I am writing this post. I purchased this trash can so he would not reach the trash, but this smarty pants learned how to reach inside to get the papers he wants to shred. Ai ai ai…
Oh, don’t forget: Craftsy is having a great sale this weekend. Check it out!
Have a wonderful day!
