Remember the work I did at Anne Munoz‘s and Lisa Chin‘s class at Quilt Fest in St. George? Here it is:
And here it is, quilted. I love the way it turned out! I call it “We All Shine” because that is how I feel about all of us – we have different talents, shine for different reasons, but are all brilliant in our own right!
I quilted it with metallic thread around and inside each sun and dots, then used Sulky variegated thread to do the [tiny] stippling on the background. Before I applied the binding, I sewed a golden trim all around.

What a beautiful quilt and stamping looks like it would be so much fun, you have really been having fun taking classes!!
Is it stamped ? I love it, I have never tried this technique.

Great quilting! I love the sun, it reminds me a lot of the sun motif repeated everywhere in the movie Tangled (I have a preschool daughter, can you tell I've seen it a few times!) That must have taken lots of thread and lots of time! Great result.

I found your blog on the linking party at Sew Many Ways and I am really enjoying it. Your sun quilt is beautiful as are your other quilts. I have never tried stamping or painting my own fabrics other than footprints of my daughters. It looks like fun! 🙂
